Being inspired by the season’s Louis Vuitton, Miu Miu catwalk shows of Peter Pan collar, I came up with my own creations embelished with gem stones, jewels, sequins, ribbons and chains to style it. Although wearing an apron in the kitchen never came cross in my mind, the idea of being stylish at home is gradually trendy to young women nowadays. No matter you wear it for cooking or hosting parties, surely you will be stealing all the limelight by looking at your best.

My latest creations are made of stunning cotton fabrics or organza with delicious patterns and tones. Both full body and half aprons feature with different themes (i.e. floral vintage style, french cottage patterns, morden cometempary). The style is also varied among frilly tiers, adjustable waist and neck ties, mix and match patchwork, or decorative fabric flowers, bead and button embrodery.

'Summer print' apron

Since the weather is bliss with sunshine, the apron is made of rather thick cotton fabric is great for hosting BBQs at home and looking stylish. The pleated 1950's look add an extra classy to the waistline, not to mention cute and fun looking 

 

Oven Hot Pads DIY 厨房烤箱防热垫

Today I was happy how well the oven pads turned out. These handy pads are alternative to oven gloves with layers of batting for heat protection.

 It's a super 'easy to make' project. The pretty vintage florals also softens my kitchen tone.

Tutorial - Simple Tote Bag for beginners‘ DIY手工制作购物袋教程’

 Thanks so much everyone for visiting my blog, upon a few requests for a bag making tutorial, I finally put the procedure together very slooooooowly. This is a good start and easy project for beginners. The bag is perfect for everyday use or a replacement of plastic carrier bags for shopping. Enjoy!

(For 1st time sewers, you don't have to add a lining， interfacing or inside pocket to your bag.)

感谢大家的支持，下面我用详细图解来一步步教你做这款用‘复古’风味的纯棉花布做成的手工手袋，给喜爱包包的 MM 增添了自己一份独一无二的春夏配饰。 

Materials required:

• fabric for exterior - two rectangles 45cm x 41 cm （canvas/heavy fabric)
• fabric for lining- two rectangles 45cm x 41cm fabric (light weighted fabric)
• fabric for straps/handles - two rectangles 60cm x 12cm

准备材料：

单色内衬和花外层

• 主面料/手袋外层 -剪下两个相同大小的45cm x 41 cm 长方形布 (用厚一点的花布)  
• 内衬面料 -剪下两个相同大小的45cm x 41 cm 长方形布 (用薄一点的布，单色或花布都可以）

提手（花布与外层料一样）

• 肩带/提手-剪下两个相同大小的 60cm x 12cm 两条布 （用厚一点布）

 
 

我是用同种花布来做外层和肩带。为了美观装饰，你可以选用不同颜色和图案的布来搭配（像同色系的单色布和花布等）

做法： 

第一步：做手袋提手

两边分别折四分之一

然后对折

折后缝好

第二步：做手袋外层。把两块主面料正面相对，等距离直线缝上两边和包底边。在包底角剪下两个 6cm x 6cm 大的正方形，然后对折缝好 （如图）。缝好后把布料反过来，放在一边。

同样把另一边底缝好

缝好后把布料反过来，正面朝外

第三步：把做好的提手放在手袋外层的顶部，提手之间相距15cm， 用直针多缝几次来加强牢固性

第四步：做内衬。与手袋外层的做法相同 (重复第二步，除了在剪完两个 6cm x 6cm 大的正方形后，只对折缝好一边，留着一边开口 （如图），而且不要反过来。

第五步：

把手袋外层，包括缝好的提手一起塞到内衬中

把外层整个塞进去后，袋口顶部对齐

对齐后，把整整一圈前后缝好 （只把内衬和外层两层缝到一起，不要把4层都缝到一起了） 

缝好后把手袋外层从之前内衬的留口处整个拽出

掏出后的样子

最后一步：

把内衬的留口处缝好

把内衬塞到手袋里面后用熨斗熨平

 

最后把袋口边处的内衬和外层缝在一起，加其稳固性

成品：大小-40cm x 36cm x 12 cm (包括提手总高 61cm)
